Let us think.

We are living in rapidly changing times. We are very much after technology and ultra-modern comforts of life. We have wet grinders and mixers in our kitchens which our fathers didn't have. We have well-cushioned cots which were not there in our childhood. We have TV sets, cars, air-conditioners and many things apart from fat vallets and inexhaustible bank balances. We are living in  modern, well-furnished houses built at a high cost and with a highly professionalised labour. Our fathers and forefathers lived in thatched huts with mud-floor. Their life styles were not so much refined or polished as we think today.

But the question is "Are we happier than they were?

We know the answer. They were  happier than us  with all their illiteracy, innocence and all that.We need to think over what went wrong and where?

We are distancing ourseleves from nature all the time . Nature has a code of instructions for us on how to live. We don't want to follow its instructions but want to exploit it. We are like the child which sucks its mother"s blood after the milk. Even the rakshasas did not do this of their mothers. But we are doing this with our mother earth. Unless and until we make it our single point agenda to  refurbish our civilisation to obey nature, we cannot stop our own extinction.
